We believe life is more interesting when trying something new. Whether it’s switching up your favorite donut flavor or giving chocolate covered macaroons a shot, new things bring new energy. Towards that end, we’re going to be trying something new here on our website. We will keep this page updated with the latest Sweet Crimes news, recipes, interviews, how-tos, and more. Be sure the check back in to find out what we’ve been up to!
Most recently, Sweet Crimes had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Broccoli City Music and Food Festival right here in DC on the Gateway DC grounds. The festival was part of a week long celebration, which included an art and music pop up in our very own Ivy City. We had such an awesome time getting to meet and greet thousands of concert-goers and enjoying the stellar line up. Covering two stages, artists included Solange, Ray Sremmurd, 21 Savage, AlunaGeorge, Lil Yachty, NAO, Rapsody, and Chaz French. Despite the rain, we saw only smiles, and the energy from the crowd and the musicians was really incredible. We were happy to serve up some gluten free fuel to keep hungry concert goers going! Being able to dish out our own form of edible art alongside these amazing performers was really inspiring. In our line up were slices of our famous carrot cake, more brownies than you would believe, and donuts galore. In fact, our lines kept us frying donuts for two hours after we were supposed to shut down! Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to making this such an incredible experience. This kind of event, combining the benefits of healthy (and delicious) living with the artistic energy of the vibrant city we call home, is really what Sweet Crimes is all about.
